Mama Base supports people from the time they are planning for conception right through to postpartum and into parenthood.

Rachel BridgePsychologist, Author, Director & Founder of Mama Base Illawarra
Rachel is a Psychologist who has been passionately working with children and their families for over ten years.
Alana is a warm, compassionate and supportive therapist. She has been working as a Registered Psychologist for almost 10 years.
Rachel UnIntake Clinician
Rachel has a diverse career background spanning psychology, education, case management and community work, including a number of years living and working in Cambodia.
You can self-refer to Mama Base Psychology, or have your general practitioner send through a referral on your behalf. Contact us for all of your referral enquiries via our contact page.
Once your referral has been received, a clinician from Mama Base Psychology will be in contact with you to arrange a consultation with the intake clinician.
Following this intake consultation, and pending whether Mama Base Psychology is suited to your needs, you will either be placed on the waitlist, or, allocated to one of the treating Psychologists.
As a holistic model of service and support, Mama Base Psychology will also explore with you, support options outside of Psychology.
Individual Psychology Session
The therapeutic services provided can be partly funded under Medicare, Private Health, Family & Community Services, and NDIS.
Mama Base Psychology kindly asks for 48 hours or more notice of appointment cancellations. This allows us enough time to offer the scheduled time to another client, awaiting service.
For notice of cancellations between 24 and 48 hours notice, a half session fee will be charged,
For notice less than 24 hours, a full session fee will be charged.
Cancellation fees do not qualify for Medicare rebate.
